It Might Come True-Remix 11/30 2pm

  It Might Come True
  http://soundclick.com/share?songid=8413875

  Edit on 11/30 2pm
     Brought down verb on acoustic
changed width type on acoustic  (it was sounding
left sided) seems to be in center now
     Less comp on acoustic
Cut 280 hz on left side by about 4 db
added some mids and highs to mix

Jimmy, again you've hit the right formula! Truly a beautiful work of art :-)

You tend to have a little more reverb on your vocal but it seems to work really well giving the overall track a nice ambience.

The guitar level on the left seems a little louder compared to the right, may want to check the levels?

Very pretty tune.  I would have liked an intro, as it starts abruptly.  Maybe a little sparkle on the vocal mix, a little kick around 7khz.

Reminds me a late 60s, or 70s, Byrds or New Riders' kind of thing.

Very catchy tune Jimmy.  You really seem to have found your groove.

Jimmy, This sounds really sweet. I like the mix here, maybe a tad sterile as you are refining it but everything seems to be blended perfectly. Such a fine job. Really enjoyed it!

    Jimmy,

I just listened three times (didn't hear the original) so can't comment on your changes. This is the second of your tunes I've heard lately, so you're obviously in the groove at the moment and you do very well at getting that nice clear sound - far better than me I might add, so it seems like I have no right to comment really, but I just thought that the strings sound in the background was a little too constant and distracts a little from your vocals at times. It sounds good at the beginning and the end. Just a personal opinion though, others better qualified than me may disagree. Anyhow, another good tune - keep it up, you know how it is......when you're hot, you're hot !

Jimmy, I got your pm although I do prefer you post/reply here :-)

Haven't had a chance to listen to your remix yet but I'm 100% sure it will sound awesome! You definitely have the skills, when you get an album released I'll be one of the first to purchase ;-)

Got to go cook dinner and eat, I'm freaking starving :-P

Take care!  All the very best to ya'  bro :-)

Thanks for the comments. After reading your

that there were things needing working on.
I made some changes and mentioned them in

    ................................
       That's a good point about the strings. I couldn't
find a happy medium. It was not enough or maybe
too constant. Good strings are very hard to do well
though. I am giving the strings subject in general
a lot of thought lately so it remains to be seen
what I can come up with when doing string work.
I haven't found a string patch that is really super
either. Not that these strings sound bad it's just
that it could be better but I guess I'll live with it
for now.   Thanks for the remarks and compliments.

Jimmy this is great. I like this a lot. Mix is nice, with a solid bottom and crystal clear guitar work. Vox outstanding.

After reading your remarks I worked on this and
worked on this trying to do what you mention and it
worked. I remixed and made so may changes. I made
the Mp3 ready to re upload. Transferred it from cd to
new the other computer for soundclick.

Compared the last (one you heard) to the new mp3
Dog gone it! it was still a touch right side on the
acoustic and the rhodes lost a bit of sparkle. So
I said the heck with it and did not re upload.

As a wav the things you mentioned worked. Mp3
really destroys imaging. I'll keep trying to find a way
to at least compensate for that somehow though
so thanks so much for the mention of that.
