So if your computer used to "see" your microphone, as opposed to the interface it was connected to, then it must have been a USB microphone. Does it show up as working in the Windows device manager.

Is the record timing master set?

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen.
I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

I assume then that you are talking about it not showing up in Sonar. I am somewhat at a loss as to why it is showing up as an output if it is a microphone. The following thread discusses some general setup issues for USB microphones.

btw if you are looking for help it would be helpful if people reading your question did not have to guess about everything. Take enough time and effort to write a clear explanation of what exactly you are doing, the model name or number for any equipment you are using, and how everything is connected, what dialogue or setting window you are talking about etc. Getting useful help on a forum is a lot of work for the person asking the question.
