My latest small work laptop has 3 USBs including a Type C. Was wuite tricky here getting 3 ports on  small laptop, nd somany times in class I'm using all three, with a Type C to a Type A (female) converter. I had to go from shop to shop toget that converter. Lots of Type C to a Type A (male), which Idon't have anything with a female Type A apart from laptops themselves.

Found a bunch on Google
For example:  CERRXIAN USB 3.0 Type A Male to USB 3.0 Type C Female Gold Plated Connector Converter Adapter for $6.44

or Type-C OTG Male to USB 2.0 Female OTG Adapter
for $1.09 plus about .20 cents shipping.

I have a few iLoks - they are really helpful for me as I have two systems in different Countries! In the past I put up with all the Ilok issues only because of that, but of late (he says keeping everything crossed) I have had no issues with iLok...
I also pay for the zero downtime just in case I lose them on my travels

Although I have come around a little more, I wasn't completely off the fence. Just running through some installs from bits I've picked up over the past 2 months.

Freiraum, damn! That's iLok apparently.

I'm late to this thread, just noticed it.  I have some iLok VST's, but except for POD Farm 2, I rarely use them.  My Izotope apps have been moved off of iLok.  I don't move around to different PC's or locations.  I do have a laptop that I use for off-site recordings but I just record with it and then move them to the desktop for processing so there is no need for iLok on that system.

I had an iLok (1) go bad the second year I had it.  It was covered by the Sweetwater two year warranty but it really didn't do me much good.  Sweetwater had never had a warranty claim before for an iLok and didn't know what to do.  It left me hanging and having to deal with Pace for the "recovery" to a new iLok2 that I had to buy through them.  Sweetwater eventually reimbursed me for the costs, but Sweetwater should have handled it, not me.

As good as Sweetwater is with returns, this surprises me. And then I speculated that SW contacted Pace (and them being who they are) refused to work with them.

Agreed SW should have been the ones to deal with, but when dealing with Pace, this doesn't surprise me.

I don't keep up with the latest on "cracked" versions of software, but is the Pace method any better than say PSP, or Overloud, or IK for that matter, in keeping software out of the hands of the pirating crowd?
