Philip~
For drums I used Jamstix drums and set up an R&B kind of groove and tailored to my needs with fills and stops and eq/compression.
I'll give a looksee at those spikes (thank you for spotting that!) I have a very hard time getting my mixes under the red for some reason...well the reason is 'no how'=just don't know how. I keep bringing all levels down and then "POOF" they all end up spiking again. so glad you enjoyed this light fare.

Bob~
Thanks for stopping by and listening. I appreciate the comments.

Rick,

There's a lot I like about this one - the piano hook, your vox (especially the harmonies - really cool - and especially on the outro).

Nice touch with the ride bell on the 2nd chorus and the tambourine on the 3rd chorus.

Great tune man, you are a music-making machine

Irresistable as usual Rick, that bass piano motif draws you right in. Great lyrics too, lovely stuff. Possibly your most commercial tune yet..!!!

Tex~
Thank you for listening to my midlife crisis

Doug~
I am really glad you are liking this. It's kind of a sparse arrangement. Probably could use a snappy rhythm guitar or something but i am not good at keeping everything clean and roomy in a mix and figured less is more in this case. Thanks!

James~
Ohhh, thank you sir. I was tinkinering on the ancient out-a-tune upright and the little riff just jumped out and said "sing me". Thank you for the listen!

What a great tune - vocals just knock me out. I'm just amazed at how good the artists on this site are - and you're at the top of that list.

Well recorded mix, mastered - sounds well balanced - this is really a good tune.

Good job Rick.

Rick

This is fantastic, quite simply. Katinki is completely awesome on this, I had to laugh at that because my Reggae set-up as well as having the 'Horns of Babylon' on it's roster has an organist called 'Katika' funny how we personalise our VSTi's...

Beryl Cook now there's an interesting choice of artwork, because she really epitomises your music for me...brilliant composition, well observed, a refreshing naivety or innocence in the execution, and a wee bit quirky in the coolest way possible.

This one really 'Cooks'

Thank you for those extremely generous kind words. I would freak out if you didn't show up in my song threads.

Jon~
Yes, Jaspar and I go way back. Met in reform school. He played Chopin interludes while i was getting thrashings.
I have a very funny video in mind for this song but can't afford the production. Maybe i'll get my son to be my slave on this.
Thanks for the listen.
