"A blast from the past"
....to the tune of "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"

You better not Burn, you better not Fry,
Your brand new Celery is clocked too High.
Overclock Santa Police are coming to town.

They know when you've been tweaking,
You've set your voltage up too high,
Your CPU is smoking!
And your fans can't handle that!...BOOM

You better not squirm, You better not Cry,
When your brand new Celery is about to Die.
Overclock Santa Police are coming to town.

They know when you have Overclocked,
They can tell cause your case is way too Hot,
You better stick with your Bus and Clock,
Or you'll surely have a System Lock......

Well..................
You better not Try, You better not Fry,
A puny little Celeron clocked too high,
Overclocked Santa Police are coming to town.

Ho...Ho...Ho!!!
Merry Celeron!

I just pee'd meeself a little...

Why doesn't that surprise me?

I'll bet a party at your house is non-stop hilarious action...

Obnoxious being..., human is an oxymoron in your case.

Goddard.

Here's a simple benchmark using your equations surrounding Jim's input (or Scotts for that matter) on these boards speaking from personal experience.

I have gained more from them sharing here the past few years, without paying a cent in consultation fees, than it looks likely I'd ever gain from you 'freely' sharing for the next century.

I hope I'm proved wrong and you start adding some worthwhile input.  I don't recall having seen any as yet.

Aww, that's sad. From your "in defence of Goddard, " jibe above and your lack of recollection of any worthwhile input from me, I'm beginning to suspect that back in August when you'd asked me here

http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2629912

about current motherboards with ISA support you were just having me on to make me out as technically antiquated, with no real interest in getting your old ISA card working again.

Ah well, even if that's truly the case (sad innit?) perhaps someone else with a genuine interest in current ISA support searching for past forum posts may find my reply worthwhile, and then my precious time spent in replying here

http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2630611

to your sham inquiry will not have been completely wasted.

Can you not see sincerity when it's right in front of you?

I'm upset now.

Your sincerity is difficult to recognize when you precede it with insult.

But I apologize. I sincerely regret that you come off as a complete arse.

Btw, hadn't kenned on to what you'd meant by "nonce" before. Thanks for your illustration. And here I'd thought you were calling me a perv...

You are going to love that processor! I just did build with one and have it screaming along happily at a conservative 4 GHz. So far I'm just using it for video editing, but will move it into the studio over XMAS break.

I have just contacted Jim.  I live near Vancouver B.C. Canada and I am considering the Platinum Studio DAW.
