In what way.  Looks like T7 to me.  Same dark UI.  I guess I'll have to take some time to see the videos.

Sure I agree , Waveform  looks about the same as T 7 ...
The thing is they added a whole lot of midi composition tools that are not in 7 ...no way I want to go back to 7 after poking around and using Waveform ...the upgrade from 7 to Waveform  is pretty serious ...
If you take a peek in this thread you may find that a lot of Waveform s new features are mentioned in great detail by a number of other forum members and myself  ...this thread has some nice videos also..

Yep, MIDI stuff, Chord/Pattern Generator, Collective synth/sampler/rompler: pretty, pretty good.

Master Mix  is also very nice

And that new Collective synthy thing is interesting ... especially with the "tuned to a fifth" Minimoog lead sound used for the Genesis song "Abacab".

Love that song abacab! Trying to do a rendition of their In The Cage medley at the moment :-)

Hey! Just a heads up for Melodyne.  Waveform includes ARA integration with a license for Melodyne Essentials.
 
Just make sure that you scan for VST3 plugins, and have that path in your scan folders. Typically at "C:Program Files\Common Files\VST3". Then disable the VST version of Melodyne.  Just use the VST3 for Melodyne.  Otherwise if you try to open the Melodyne GUI from a wave clip, nothing happens ...
