Is there more than one ? Wasn't aware of that, sorry.

The one I mean is whenever I select edit>undo the description of what it says to undo is not the last thing I did, but usually the thing before that.

The answer is obviously yes as it nearly made X3E.
The real question you are asking is will there be a X3F.

The link you refer to CWBRN-22982 is about Ctrl-Z crashing the program. This is not the issue I'm talking about, so there is nothing "obvious" there about whether it will be fixed or not, so my "real" question (if that's ok with you) is if they are going to fix the problem I described in post #3 ?

I ran into another one recently. Not really a bug, but a quirk that seriously screwed with what I was doing.
I had recorded a new multi-tracked take and I wanted to slip edit some of the files jointly (can't remember why). I used ctrl+clicking to select the ones I needed to edit, and accidentally held control while slip editing, this obviously time stretched the clips instead. No problem, I thought, and still holding control I pressed Z, but instead of undoing the time stretching, my recorded clips disappeard (as if I undid recording, the next to last action). But redo didn't do anything because the undo history said it wanted to redo the time stretching! (on clips that were no longer there).
I'm sure the actual audio files were still on disk somewhere but doing another take was in the end quicker than me trying to locate them but it's definitely annoying behavior.

I think you completely missed the follow up post #5. I am assuming this is the issue?

I'm sure they will fix it. The main question would be how and when would the fix be delivered. i.e. X3F or a X4 version. So far no answers to that.

I did see it - You posted that at the same time as I was replying to your first post, but it didn't seem worth responding as it didn't really answer my question or offer any new info.

I really hope that the new caring, sharing non-Roland incarnation of CW are not going to expect people to buy a new version to fix this most basic of issues that wasn't even broken before I paid for this version. I'd be surprised if there was a full "F" patch, but would have thought that a hotfix of some kind wouldn't be too much too ask.

Well it points to the correct issue number, as it appears I was the one who bothered to log the issue and report it to Cakewalk (CWBRN-22662).

I think the chances of getting a hotfix is zero, there are around 70 other issues many of which are more or equally as serious, sorry. The most you can hope for is X3F.
