Alex, your link doesn't work for me.
I paid 80 bucks and didn't even get an upgrade. I just got a kit with no midi samples for it.
So I'm shelving it and switching back to Session Drummer. I'm more comfortable there and the prices have dropped through the floor.
As far as I can tell, AD2 is just AD1 with all the FX we all already own lined up for you. There are a couple of things I sort of hard to recreate in Session Drummer, like switching accents between 8th and 16th notes or randomization etc. For me, it's just a wildly expensive product. It doesn't sound bad, but you can't access the midi clips without copying them all to your tracks and then saving them off to a folder.
You can't import your own samples like you can in Session Drummer.
It seems like they are working hard to make a lot of money while the making is good. Like they expect that tomorrow they're going to disappear from the shelf.
For all the excitement about it, to me Addictive Drums just another drum machine.
For the price of 1 Kit with AD, you can get 4 Chocolate Cake kits from Cakewalk for Session Drummer.
