Very Interested in checking out the new Pro Channel Presets.
However, before I do I just want to make sure of the "correct" download procedure.
 
Is there anything I need to know about the specific procedure of downloading these files?
Or can I just open them and "all will be well"?

Just download them to the folder containing the Pro Channel presets.(on my machine it's C:/Program Files/Cakewalk Projects/Pro Channel Presets) You have to download them one at a time but each one only takes a few seconds.
Also, the files names all have a string of numbers in front of the preset name so you might want to delete them (the numbers) before you download. Or rename them after the download.

BE CAREFUL DELETING THE NUMBERS! Some of the patches in the user downloads have the same names as the default ones. I downloaded them into two folders. One for regular and one for expanded. Then I just dragged those folders into the folder where the original presets are. Now I can keep up with the originals and search through the user folders with no problems.

Hey, I missed something, where can you find those preset/downloads?

That link of PreChannel presets (http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Preset-Zone.aspx) doesnot work. It brings you to the productpage of X3.

Thanks for that info scook. I didn't know that.

They promised new presets in the beginning of the year. However I cannot find them.
