Hi guys!

I haven't been following the forum since about x-mas and just returned to find it unusually calm :-) It seems so calm that I wonder when competitors will again start sending trolls over to start throwing mud.

Anyway, don't want to be a troll myself - I just wanted to thank Alex for his continuous efforts to keep that 'unofficial' list going; that makes it easy to drop in occasionally and keep up with the important stuff. Actually Cakewalk should make that a sticky thread.

It seems X3d is working well for most of you (and as soon as projects allow I'll move from X3c to X3d myself); yet, it was interesting to read 'will be fixed in X3E' in Alex's list - is this based on feedback from Cakewalk or forum consensus? I mean will there be another bug fix update before the next major release (X4)?

Yes, there will be a version X3e update sometime in March.

Thanks Robert... The list should be taken a guidance only as Cake really holds all the cards I'm just scraping as much info as I can find (I have no complaints).

I doubt we will know much more until X3E until X3E is released (which is fine I'm happy to wait). I can't imagine X3E fixing all bugs right now... as you can see in that list there's a load of issues that don't seem to get anywhere near development try as we can to submit them, but never mind, right now there's too much to do to get carried away by this, we shall see what happens.

I suspect there's a lot of pressure being piled on Cake on fixing these issues (and more), I think if Cake doesn't get these bugs fixes sorted, and get basic workflow and UI fixes addressed... so it works well and gives a good user experience.... by the end of the year (and before X4).. well their reputation could be at stake. Right now faith has been definitely been restored as they are attempting to sort this out this mess (QDOS to them), I hope they manage to sort out their online support systems as well whilst they are at it.

How did you find out about the ETA Scott I haven't seen any mention...?

Thanks..

Ok so definitely mid to late March, thanks for confirming.
So I'll expect it in April.... as I hope it will be late (late is always a good sign it will go well).

Cheers...

No, that wasn't a troll post. I needed legitimate help. Don't be so quick to pass judgement.
