Hey all,  I've comped a violin track but when I go to Flatten Comp and error pops up that says:

This filter does not support the current audio format.  It may require a different number of channels or a different sample rate.

Any thoughts?  Very frustrating, I comped two vocal tracks with no issues.

Maybe you could sing like a violin and comp the audio.

Funny.  Not really.  Thanks for the constructive comment.

Looks like it could be a stereo/mono thing with a plugin...
(get rid of a DirectX or VST plugin one at a time to locate the source  of the issue, I'm placing bets it's DirectX)

Not sure what would cause that. I have used flatten comp numerous times with no problem. As a workaround, can you use file/export/audio or "bounce to track" as a way to print the edited comp?

Just read some of the posts Alex linked to. Interesting, and annoying, that it could be a long-standing issue with mono/stereo plugins. If confirmed, Alex, I would add this to the "known issues" list you maintain.
