Recently I've been having issues with the quick fades. When I grab a track in the top corner and create a fadein it works as expected but when creating fadeout, the track doesn't start to show attenuation until nearly the whole track is consumed by the fade. It doesn't matter what type of fade it is either. I've tried all three options. I can't seem to be able to insert a screenshot but I'll see what I can do. Any help is appriciated.

What version of SONAR are you running?

Oops, guess that'd be helpful. I'm running:
Sonar X1 Producer (X1d build 533)
Computer is:
Windows 7 Home SP1 64-bit
Intel Core i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz
8.00 GB RAM

It worked fine for me.. I have X1d build 535 running here (Expanded version, I just realized the difference).

So you went to your computer, fired up Sonar and said "yup, mine works"?? Dude, if you didn't have a clue you could have left the thread alone. I appriciate you "trying" to help but all you did was leave the thread looking as though it may be solved or being handled and maybe the guy/gal who actually knows how to fix it might breeze past it...

I do not recall experiencing an issue with fade out but got into the X1 series late in the game with X1d Producer Expanded. Here is a similar thread while X1 was still being maintained http://forum.cakewalk.com/Clip-FadeOut-does-not-work-m2273906.aspx At this time if the fade out does not work, you might be stuck with clip gain and volume envelops to achieve want you need.

Unfortunately I've already read that and still no solution. His issue is slightly different than mine. I would venture a guess that there is some configuration file somewhere where it's controlled. I just don't know where to start looking. It might be in certain projects only. Some other projects I have work fine. Almost like I inadvertently changed the setting without realizing it. I fell like I'm looking for something that would be in preferences but nothing looks like the right option.
