Hi all,

I have not used track templates very much so am lost as to what I am doing wrong. I followed the thread and instructions by Subjacent (http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/2899224) and wanted to go the extra step to create an "empty project" I could start with (Step Sequencer already open). When the step sequencer is open, I set it to 8 beats, 8 steps, and then saved this project. If I open this it defaults back to 4/4 (no data in the sequencer).

If I put "dummy data" in the Step Sequencer it saved 8/8; then if I reopened and removed that dummy data, and re-saved the project - it reopened again as 8/8 (what I was trying to do the first go round). Is this normal behavior, or do I have a setting messed up?

Second question... I then save this as a "project template" and it showed up in the list when making a new test project, but when I clicked on it I got a pop-up saying:

    "Addictive Drums Error
    cSustainedRelation: if-statement requires a pair as a second argument, id = 3522 ((: (flip MAP_CCHihat_CCValueIn ) MAP_CCHihat_CCValueIn )), type = 1 (0.000000)"

I got this same pop-up at some point messing with the 8/8 aspect earlier, but cannot remember exactly where, and had to type it because it will not let me copy/paste the text. I acknowledged this and the template opened at 8/8, but I am not sure what the error refers too (but seems to be related to the Step Sequencer not being set to 4/4)?

I don't know if that will work, one way or the other.

Hitting Alt + 4 opens Step Sequencer - that's what I use, as I have to click on the desired midi track first anyway.

Thanks Bob. It actually does work, but seems it was not "intended." I was really trying to make the "empty project" to save a little time when trying out things. I have this *really* bad habit of making a new project folder when I do this, and then cannot find anything later on; so if all of the "playing around" was in the same folder it would help me in that regard as well.

Saving the "project template" was the first time I ever did this, so I am not familiar with its functionality or intended usage. Live and learn

I had the same error come up when I was opening a project with step sequencer. I had made a project template with the SS in multidock with a step in every row (Subjacent's SS preset). It happened at two separate times with that error. Hasn't happened since I've created the drum tracks though.
