why did i wait so long to finally buy a great interface. this thing works so well with sonar x2 pro.  the preamps  is what i am most taken with, that in the fact that 16 channels blow through like no problem at all. just trying to get it narrowed down to what setting. even 41000 - 16 sounds ok. i am running at 24-48 right now, noticeably better. i used to run my 2 delta 1010's at 24 -96 . 
 
does anyone else use this studio capture? and could you tell me your settings just to get an idea of where i should be? i realize it's all relevant.   most of the time it is being used for 45 min. practice sessions, but once or twice a month we use it for recording all at once in isolated rooms.
 
 
i7 dell -8 gig , 2 tb, 1 tb , sonar x2a, sonar x1(32 &64bit) win 7 -64 bit , studio-capture , sound forge 9, yamaha 32 channel outboard mixer, m-audio bx5 and bx8 , sound proof room in a garage with sliding glass doors to the control room.

Welcome, viziovizio! I am one of several people on here loving their Studio-Captures. There are some auto-shutdown issues we all are struggling with right now. If you run a search on this forum for Studio-Capture threads you will find a couple that I posted and for the last several days there has been a pretty good discussion about the problems a few of us are having with that feature in particular. That being said I am running 2 of these and I love EM!
If I keep my VST instrument tracks down I have gotten as low as 64 samples in ASIO mode at 24/44.1. A useable setting for me has been around 128 and 256 with a lot of VST instruments and ProChannel plugs.

You can tell by the auto-shutdown thread there are more of us starting to use these interfaces. Even with my auto-shutdown issues, I replaced a MOTU 24io and these things are holding their own. That MOTU was rock solid and never crashed once in several years of use. The Captures have moved into its place seamlessly so far.
That being said, we are all waiting to see what happens as far as these interfaces in view of the buyout situation. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, make some music, and enjoy!
 

thankx sidroe, i really appreciate all the help. very excited that others use this studio-capture. the thing seems to be rock solid for me. great tone! love the low latency while laying down vocals in real time.   i have no plans on sonar x3 as of yet. i would hope it works just as great.
