My wishlist .

1. Less content, like samples / loops ( an alternate option to download on Cakewalk's page ) for those
that want it, making sonar less in size to download.
2. A simple GUI, with not to many windows.
3. Less VSTi's , i hardly use any of em ( but that's just me )
4. Better and a few plugins with good quality ( Compressor / EQ / Limiter ) / analog modeled, within sonar
as basic, also keeping the Pro-channel.
5. Celemony Melodyne implemented in sonar,  ( V-Vocal ) is not good enough ( my opinion again )
6. Better midi arpeggiator, also more midi FX's
7. An easier to handle, audio snap funktion
9. An bmp counter plugin ? , meaning if you import a song into sonar, you can add a that plugin into the FX bin
and get the tempo of the song ?
10. A customised metronome, to be able to load other sounds for click's

11. A stable DAW

I like these.  Can't we already do 10?  2 we can do now.

For 10, yeah, you can already pick the metronome wave files and control the accent.

And 2?   Sheesh... ain't that opening up a can of worms!

As far as plugins go, that's another can in the making - after all, it is another form of content.  That covers 3, 4, 6 and 9.   (not that I'm against it myself)

Number 5?  I already use S1 for that myself and really do like it for that purpose.   The same goes for 7 in some cases, since I do find S1's native tools a bit easier to use than AudioSnap.    But I guess I wouldn't complain if those two happened even though I don't have a dire need for them.

As for 11, I'm one of the lucky ones - I already have that with X2a.

Might as well start it now. It's only a matter or time until it's needed.

I'll start.

Needs better attention to the handling of the things it does poorly.

Did I miss an announcement or something?

Don't we have enough Sonar X3 wislists? What was wrong with the first one? This must be like 'Wishlist X5'. There's a Sonar X3 wishlist from November 2010, another in June 2013, an additional wishlist in August. Oh, another one in August. Surely it would be better to have one wishlist as a sticky.

I wish for a consolidated wishlist comprised of everything that's still wacked out, soon to be wacked or new wishes that haven't been thought of yet.

I don't use the arpeggiator much, but I might do with a few improvments. I had high hopes for some of the guitar arpeggios but as there is no chord detection and the pattern just follows the root note they are of limited use unless you want to do lots of editing in PRV. If the patterns would follow the chord you are holding down they would actually be useful, and if you could change pattern using key switches it would be even better.

But who's to say this is not in X3?
