IIRC, the installer provides an option to enter the path for the samples. The registry edits for all the sfz engine synths are in this thread. The info in the thread is current.

For some reason I remember not being given an option as to where the multi-samples would be located and then having to jump through hoops to re-locate them after the install.
Must be old age catching up with me again lol
