With the release of Logic Pro X, Cakewalk better get on top of things b/c the competition has just gotten that much stiffer.
Is Logic pro X for PC? If it were what does it do that Sonar X2 can't do? I'm glad they all keep making better products, but I really don't see where I will gain anything in leaving Cakewalk at this point. (You can't see my smile, but this is light hearted banter and not me being an ass.)
Just saying that another major player in the DAW game has stepped it up a notch. And as long as the folklore persists in the audio industry that the "pros" use Macs and Macs are "better machines" there's always going to be that temptation out there for a lot of people to journey to the other side. Even if it may be misguided.
I won't lie, I've been tempted just for the compatibility purposes. I recently spent a few months in Atlanta doing some work for a TV show for a major network. Unfortunately while I was there my laptop was stolen and I was forced to use Logic 9 to finish one of the songs. Luckily it was the last song. Other than Pro Tools, Logic was the only other DAW that was in EVERY major studio I went to during my time there b/c they all had Macs.
