I received an emailing from Spectrasonics about their upcoming release of 'Keyscape'. This is a 29-minute video. Might be of interest to some. As a non-keyboardist myself, I cannot attest to whether there are other means of achieving what they have here, but its sure seems like a nice all-in-one product, although will probably be on the costlier side. If nothing else, the video does have some nice performance shorts.

Discussion going on in the Software forum about this, and it's getting trashed (surprise) over on KVR. We're excited to get early reviews from yorolpal and thepianist65.

I'm already sold.
(Well, if I had the money for it and all the supporting gear that is.)

I was really enjoying who they got to demo it and totally want to steal a couple of their styles!  Guess I'll need to get keyboard lessons down the road as well!

I know I've never heard a decent piano sound from a synth and they not only had that, but dozens of variations that all sounded great and VERY "real" (you know what I mean).  TBH, $399 does not sound like a bad price for what they are delivering.

So, the only question is, will it sound as nice when you don't have world-class players banging away with it?

The best piano I've heard out of a computer/synthesizer is the Ivory American Concert D (Steinway). All of the Ivory 2 pianos are very nice, however.

It looks like it's the keyboard equivalent of Trilian.
