Something brewing at Spectrasonics?

I just visited their website to check for updates, and to my big surprise their homepage is ornamented with a black box with the text:

"3 Days... Something new"

I have no idea what it is all about, but I guess we all see in three day's.
Maybe a brand new version of Stylus RMX? That one is long overdue..
I can only guess...

Anyway - See for yourself: https://www.spectrasonics.net/

Spectrasonics are famously tight-lipped about products in development, so anything you hear is likely to be pure supposition or wishful thinking.

It would be disappointing (and contrary to their customary low-key tone) if "something new" turned out to be a Trilian update, so my guess would be a new instrument. Whatever it is, it's a safe bet it'll be something good that I can't afford.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I don't have any funds left in the emergency drawer. But this is going to be too irresistible - whatever it is.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

And now: "2 Days... Ten Years in the Making"

Still no idea, but it's obviously some product.
I am still hoping for a total make-over of Stylus RMX...

We will see, we will see...

Stylus RMX is one of my favorite VSTs and used in every project. An update to that would be great!

It's supposed to be a brand new product. I'm going to guess it's their DAW they've been working on for like a decade.

does not matter what this new product is.......I will buy it and find a use for it.

Spectrasonics has always produced quality products even in the 1.0 versions of Atmosphere and Trilogy.

Excited to fine out what it is.   really hope the announcement is not a product and then a release date of January 2017 ......I want it NOW, and don't even know what IT is.

Really need to attend an addiction meeting whew!

Doesn't really come into play if it's a new product but,
"10 Years In The Making" is not my favorite marketing phrase.
I would prefer " We Screwed Around for 7 Years" so introducing...

It's Bass, not Bass.

I'm guessing that it is either:
1. - Piano
2. - Talent Button
3. - Full Fledged Sampler

or,

Eric is retiring to a new journey...

You made me laugh Larry! After my well documented grumpiness toward a certain company, I was trying to avoid commenting... But that was funny.

And I hope its a talent button, I desperately need a talent button. I was once singing softly to myself walking down a wide street in a storm after midnight with no one around and the only other person I saw that night screamed from across the street "Dude don't do that! You are hurting my ears." And he was listening to his walkman at the time...

I am placing my bet in Vegas on guitar or vocal.

Eric has aready long ago stated that Spec was working on something and that Stylus RMX would  be looked into after that.  so not stylus.  not a new synth as Omni 2 just got updated and Spec has stated that Omni IS Spec's synth.  not trillian as that would be not new and just a 2.0.

so guitar or vocal. or a pink pony.  yeah guitar, vocal or pink pony.
