A little help here...I installed a Waves bundle ages ago and all the plugs are working in Sonar. I'm a little in the dark about how this whole "Waves Shell" thing works but I got it working anyway. At the time I deleted the 32-bit Waves shell so that only the 64-bit versions would be seen by Sonar. 
 
Today I went with the Aphex Aural-Exciter in the sale for $49 with coupon, and installed it with that V9 installer thingy. Only it's not being recognized by Sonar after rescanning my plugs. The Aphex ".bundle" folder is in my Program Files folder under "Waves," and inside are folders for Win32 and Win64, each holding their respective copies of the DLL. I had presumed that the Waves Shell would automatically detect this installation and make the plug visible in Sonar, but obviously I'm wrong because it's not there. 
 
Can anyone let me know what I have to do to get it working? 

I never see new plugs unless I do a custom vst scan with Sonars plug in manager. Then I have to exit Sonar and restart it. The plug in manager is flakey on my machine.

Yep I tried that, didn't work. Still not seeing the plug.

Aha! Running the repair option in the installer worked for me as well. Thanks for that!

You're welcome! To be honest I didn't even really notice the helpful flag on the previous forum....

The Aphex Aural Exciter is great by the way....I've just spend an hour or so playing with it. Of course it's not something that's needed on synth VST's because you can make a sound brighter to begin with, but on recorded material that needs brightening up or exciting, it's really amazing. For instance I'm quite partial to chopping up samples of old orchestral records and it really works wonders when the source material is muddy or lacking in clarity. I'm using the "AX" mode on a send bus and just mixing a little in with the dry signal.
