how can you be giving advise to anyone when you cant even do something as simple as posting on this forum ?
surely you didn't grow up before they created the "post button" ???
In all fairness to jb101, there have been quite a few incidents of multiple posting since we got the new forum software.
It even happened to a real super-hero posting expert just HERE - and if you'll notice lower down in that thread, Ryan knows about it too.
"in all fairness."
ya that's really fair steven
in other words, I didn't read what jb wrote, just the trash you write charlie.
I mean its all good, he says: "I just came storming in here knowing nothing as usual"
insults my grammar and you think that's fair ?
Charles, what the hell are you on about?
Seriously, are you paranoid? Or are you just incapable of discerning between a cordial observation when it's proffered, and a chastisement?
Where do I intimate that you write "trash"? And how could you possible be cognisant with which posts I've read and which posts I haven't?
All I was trying to explain was that accidental, and completely non-anticipatable multiple postings have been occurring quite frequently since the new forum software was implemented.
To be honest, I would have though that by utilising a little jocular self-deprecation, it would be apparent that I was not endeavouring in the slightest to be contumelious, and indubitably not discourteous.
I hope that sets the record straight.
As far as one's grammar is concerned, I was always educated that it was simply good manners to write correctly. My personal and abiding maxim has always been that if one expects others to read what one has penned, it is the least one can do to make it legible, coherent, correctly spelt and punctuated, and accommodating as few grammatical infractions as possible.
As Edgar Allan Poe once opined: “
A man's grammar, like Caesar's wife, should not only be pure, but above susp-icion of impurity.”
