NOTE: The above post finally made it through after about eight attempts. While this may be browser-specific, the error message suggests a server-side configuration problem. It's also worth considering that for every member who has this problem, only a fraction will probably succeed or try to succeed in getting a post through after several failed attempts. So I REALLY recommend checking the server logs. Really. Edit: By "above" I mean my previous post on Page 1, not the previous "irony" posts that are probably a result of several queued attempts to post -- and ironically so, indeed. ;-)
Enjoy the time you've got, because it's all the time you get.

Hey now, we heard you the first 7 times ;) I'll give it a looksie. They all posted within 2 seconds of each other so the error logging is pretty easy to locate.

Ryan Munnis [Cakewalk] I'll give it a looksie. They all posted within 2 seconds of each other so the error logging is pretty easy to locate. Thanks Ryan. And for what it may be worth, once the teething pains are sorted out, the new software really does look like a nice step up. :-)

Thanks! I definitely feel its a huge improvement as well. Like anything though, once you release it to the public issues you never ran into pop up as people beat on it heavily. I traced this particular error but am hitting a dead end at the moment. Some of this code is compiled so I'll have to contact the vendor to make forward progress. Being able to identify the faulting method is a huge help though, so there's some progress. Thanks for your patience guys!

Dream Station 1.0 Works well for me... my only criticism is that scanning through a thread quickly it can be difficult to pick out what text is someone's post and what text is someone's signature block; it's all a little too similarly formatted, and things aren't clearly separated. I shouldn't have to really concentrate and focus on differentiating the two. I keep re-reading people's sigs, thinking it's the next poster's comments.
That's why it's always a good idea to create your signature in a different color and/or different font.

Unfortunately changing the colour doesn't seem to be an available option.

Change is okay with me, as long as it works. ;) BTW What I do like about the new software is that it is compatible with all the browsers I use...!!! So I that regard I am happy with it. No more need to post ONLY using IE on my dekstop PC: I can now post anywhere from any browser. ;)

I haven't had an issue with posting yet - I've switched to chrome. I welcome the change. But I agree with the others about white space. The line spacing is a bit too much. Sure you can zoom out, but it doesn't change the proportions - just makes the font smaller. The old software had a denser line spacing, enabling you to see more posts on a page with the same zoom setting as before. It would be nicer to keep the line spacing the same as it previously was. The other thing is on the forum summary pages (not thread detail) they've included everyone's Avatar, which eats up vertical space. They have a setting at the top "Full Version" and "Essentials only" which is nice - however the avatars still show up with Essentials Only. Maybe they should tweak the Essentials settings to give a tighter line spacing and get rid of the avatars on the main Forum summary pages.

Forum seems to be working okay here, both on my PC and my Android tablet. I agree that there's a bit too much white space but the new software is much better than the old one. Response time is much quicker. Thanks for your efforts guys. It took a while but it was worth the wait.

On the subject of the forums....is it really necessary for people to list every piece of gear they've ever owned in their signature ? All it does is clog up the threads and quite frankly seems a bit pretentious. Yea I get it if you're posting a support request then knowing your OS etc would be useful but having a list of all your gear repeated over and over in each post is just a waste in my opinion. I hardly think what type of guitar you own is of any use for example other than for the purpose of bragging. Perhaps a bit harsh but there you have it.........

FastBikerBoy Firefox is working really well with no issues yet. I'm just glad to get rid of IETab. Navigation is much easier now as well.
Was just about to agree with this. Then I got the error message. (Not the one Strummy had) Probably just as well as agreeing with people is against the TOS it seems ;)

I am using ie9 and have had no problems at all (except for getting used to the new look, which wasn't really a problem. Posting is almost too fast... it is instant. After posting I get another reply box with a cursor in it which confused me the first few times. So far (knock on wood) the new forum software has been excellent for my. I hope it becomes stable for everyone! Julien
