Why did he get banned?

Seems obvious to me.
 
Did you read any of his posts or the topics he started?  He said he was "psychic" but he obviously left the "ot" out of there.
 
Among other things, he took lots of personal offense about things when there wasn't any attacks against him to begin with (thus provoking some - if I actually thought he was in control of his actions, this is the usual definition of trolling).  Then there's the fact that he can't string together a coherent sentence which, added to poor spelling and horrible grammar means he's going to be misunderstood.
 
All of that said, I'm guessing his badgering the forum mods with his delusions and harassing forum members was the final straw.  But, I'm sure he'll be back.  He did say he has plenty of logins for here!
 
I know what he should spend his time on.  I liked the concept he had for his song, but we could record better in the 80's with a cassette deck.  Learning how to get a decent signal recorded is step one (then he can work on everything else).

I'm guessing it must have been for something 'off camera'. I haven't seen him say anything in the forums that deserved a ban.
 
His style might be a little abrasive for some, and maybe he was a tad delusional about the quality of that song of his, but I've seen much worse among the 'big boys' that didn't even raise an eyebrow from our overlords.
 
I just hope it was nothing to do with that song review.

Steve... if it had just been the events of the past few days it'd be one thing but this dude has a looooooong history of MAJOR abuse and flagrant violations. He's gone now so I'll leave it at that but seriously I cannot believe he was allowed to stick around as long as he did.
 
Bad news and a total time waster/disruption the forum simply does not need.
