Now before you say does this really need to be a cry for help, let me say that I need to customise the colours in SONAR not just for aesthetic purposes. I'm a music producer with a visual impairment. The main problem I have on a PC is if the majority of the screen is a bright or pale colour. So I, for example, choose a white on black colour scheme. If most of the screen is white or a pale colour I am dazzled and unable to focus. I chose SONAR many years ago partly because it was so well featured in terms of colour customisation.
I have just upgraded from 8.3 to X2. You can customise so many colours, so many of which are for such tiny insignificant elements. Yet the main colour that occupies the screen in the Console is a pale grey. Namely the background colour of all the console strips. This is not listed in the list of items you can change the colour of. Why? It is far more important than any of the other console view elements. Can anyone tell me if I am missing something?
Is it perhaps because we are talking about a graphic? In SONAR 8 the console I had was a nice dark one. Maybe that was by default. I am now really struggling.
Please if this is a graphic can someone at Cakewalk provide a darker version similar to the colour of the strips in track view which are fine, that we can chose as part of the customisation.
Otherwise could some clever person tell me if there is a piece of software that allows me to hack into SONAR to access the graphic used. I am quite happy then to recolour that graphic in PaintShop and replace it. Also could I have the moon on a stick? :)
Any help would be massive. Thank you.
