I notice that in the videos about PRV editing, the guy's mouse pointer leaves a blocky trail on the PRV as he moves it. The blocks are the same height as the PRV note divisions. Apart from being a little annoying, does anyone know how this came about? I'm curious!

Also, if you look at the same Groove 3 Video on PRV editing you will notice at 2:08 into it the issue I describe in my thread http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2760814

It appears as though the MIDI notes are displayed as 2 pieces, the block and a rounded edge tacked on either side. When the aim assist bar is passed over them, some or all (depending on zoom level) of those rounded edges disappear then reappear if you make another mouse sweep over them. If the aim assist is off, it doesn't happen (for me).

Great illustration of one of the display issues I have been having and reported to Cakewalk support.

I obviously can't speak for Groove 3 but when I'm editing my own videos I sometimes notice graphic glitches that aren't there at capture time, usually cursor related but not always. I usually just use Camtasia to hide the cursor at those points unless the cursor is specifically required at that point.

I haven't see the video but it may be something similar. I've always assumed it's a bug in Camtasia when it happens to me.

I assumed it must be a glitch with the video - but what had me curious is that the trails the cursor leaves consist of blocks the same height as the rows in the PRV. You'd think that if the cursor was leaving a trail, whatever it left would be independent of whatever was underneath. No biggie, just have an inquisitive mind!
