Why do we all misspell the word Bacon as BECAN as a matter of course?
For the same reason we say 20-40%, black dog, it's all crash in the loudspeaker, arse, ya and make parody threads (among other silly things).

I should also note that most of the silliness has been going on for quite a while. For example:

I just thought it must be because it stresses the essentiality of it. BE! And CAN! A rallying cry for pork lovers everywhere. Count me in!
