I saw someone else with a similar problem but can no longer find the thread.  Sorry.  I copied the entire session drummer 2 folder from my old computer and just copied it to my new one.  I can load Session Drummer 2 by itself in Sonar X2 but a part of the interface at the top left is just some kind of barebones colorless frame of what would be there had it been running perfectly.  But even more important than that is when I load a PROGRAM, I get an error message that says, "IDS FILE MISSING not found in text resource file!"

Can someone help me with this problem?  Thank you very much.  I greatly appreciate your time and efforts.

The proper way to install Session Drummer 2 is to perform a custom install using the disks for the Cakewalk Product that has Session Drummer 2. During the custom install process you will have the option to select what to install.

Or you could just use the SD3 that comes with X2

SD3 is only available in SONAR X2 Producer, I believe the OP is running SONAR X2 Studio http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2683473 which comes with SI-Drums.

This article is only two months old so unless you have a subscription for Sound on Sound you may not be able to read it for a month.

Thanks for your help.  Yes, I am running studio edition.  I lost the Sonar 8 discs (Have NO idea how) so I unfortunately cannot reinstall it the normal way.  Is it possible to buy 64-bit Session drummer 3?

Since you are a registered SONAR 8 user maybe CW will let you download SD2 for free. It is available for sale here http://www.store.cakewalk...ductid=10-CPHH1.00-20E Contact tech support and see what they can work out for you. SD3 is a SONAR Producer exclusive for now.

Not to sound like a shill but why not just upgrade to Producer? It's worth it.

I'm sure it is worth it but I can't because it's expensive.

So I clicked on the link to download Session Drummer 2 again but it says I have to buy it.  I was logged in but I still have to pay to redownload it.  I think they don't have it setup where you can download all the programs included in your past versions separately for free.  Now I am getting all upset because stupid computer nonsense is delaying my projects and destroying all my momentum.

You need to talk to Tech Support, see what they suggest
