Are you starting the new version or using the old icon? I had the same issue, untill I started the correct version of Rapture...

Noisy Neighbour

Same here,
I've send and an e-mail to CW Support, and got a relative quick reply, suggesting to uninstall all previous versions of RP, also delete the H-Keys  from the regedit,  download  the RP 2.2 version and reinstall. I just really don't dare to go into the registry /: I wish there was another solution, specially since I actually purchased the full version of RP some time before X2. I dont,'t even get RP it to work in X1 anymore...
...I rather live with Rapture LE before I do any damage in the registry...

I had the same problem until - - - I selected the lasted Rapture version in the browser. In my case it was Rapture x64

Registered properly with the right plug selection.

That's interesting... I don't have a Rapture x64, just LE and Rapture
I was thinking that there could be more than one but both rapture.exe and rapture.dll are in C;\program files\cakewalk\vst plugins\rapture
Hmmmm.....

I also asked tech support, got a quick "What O/S are using" and replied - haven't heard since

Further to...
I have rapture le 32 and 64 dll
I have rapture dll
I don't have rapture64 dll
I'm thinking it didn't install - perhaps my full Rapture was only 32 bit? (I really don't remember)
If I haven't fixed it by the time my disks get here I'll try to install 64 bit from there

I also did not get Rapture (full version) installed by the SONAR X2 Producer installation.  I'm pretty sure I saw it checked when looking through the things to be installed in the custom installation, but no Rapture installation program ever came up.  Only Rapture64LE shows up in my plug-ins, there is no regular Rapture sub-directory in the directory where I told it to install my Cakewalk VST plug-ins, and there is no "rp" key in the registry area noted in the above responses (only "rple").

Is there any chance we can get the standalone Rapture installer in our store accounts to avoid having to do the dance of unpacking all the files.  That was a MAJOR hassle on my system because it defaults to the C: drive (without saying anything about it), and my C: drive didn't have enough space.  I'll post a separate note on issues encountered there, but the workaround was to set some temporary directory variables in a command shell to change the path to a partition with more room, then execute the X2 installation programs from the command shell instead of via Windows Explorer.  Of course, all the unpacking also takes a long time.

hey rick> i sent an email to Tech Support last night suggesting the same thing. I am done troubleshooting the problem and would just like a standalone Rapture installer. I have two computers and I am getting identical Rapture problems on both.

Same situation as rickpaul for me... only RaptureLE (32 bit) shows up on my computer.  I tried a custom install and selected ONLY RAPTURE.  At the end of the install, it says I have an older version of DIMENSION PRO (???)....and need to download the latest v1.5.  It then takes me to the CW download page for DPro.  *sheesh*.  I exit out of that because I actually do have v1.5.  Then the install says "Finished".  And there is no place to input a serial number for new Rapture, and obviously, the new Rapture program did not install.

grrrr

Just to doubly (triply?) confirm.  I did exactly what tbosco did, trying to install Rapture only, except for itss being the x64 version in my case, and I got the same exact result, including the message about DimPro (even though I wasn't installing that), and no Rapture.

I might note that I also saw a message along the way that it was putting some Rapture setup files somewhere under C:.  If it did, though, I did not find them in a quick look around the obvious places.

Also, as a P.S. to my earlier note, for anyone who is interested, the thread I alluded to that I'd write about the other installation problem I had due to short space on my C: drive is now posted at http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2668496.

Just got off the phone with tech support.

Rapture will be in your store account eventually. They were shutting down, as it's miller time, so it should be there maybe this weekend or monday.

Kinda wierd but at least they are going to rectify the situation.
