It's strange how it installs on some and not on others.  I have Dim Pro 1.5 from when I installed X1d Expanded....and both Rapture and Rapture LE show up for me.

I'm pretty sure that when I installed X1d expanded I DIDN'T install Dim Pro 1.5...tho I thought I did.  I don't see why they don't just have a separate download link in your account for it.

(Rapture, I mean)

Guys, you shouldn't need the separate Rapture installation (at least the temporary one from Ryan from Saturday -- it had the same problem as the SONAR X2 installer) to get the workaround to work.  You can use the SONAR X2 installer and just have it install Rapture (pick the custom installation and just uncheck everything else except Rapture).

HOWEVER, you will have to make one or two temporary Windows Registry tweaks if you want to use the workaround.  Here is the link to the post that describes the workaround (he's now updated that post with the extra information I supplied, so it's all in one place): http://forum.cakewalk.com/fb.ashx?m=2670173

The key is to make both of the temporary registry tweaks (or only one if you only have one installed -- I guess the key to whether it's one or two is if you have both 32-bit and 64-bit Dimension Pro on your system; the guy supplying the workaround apparently only had 64-bit, while I had both) in RegEdit first, close RegEdit after that, then do the Rapture installation, then go back into RegEdit and change the key names back to how they originally were.  It was very easy to do, but you do have to be comfortable using RegEdit.

Nope, sorry Rick.  I did go back and just install Rapture and nothing else and it still doesn't work.  You can read my above posts.  I'm content to wait until there's a "non" registry fix tho.

yorolpal, if you installed just Rapture, be it from the X2 Producer installation or the temporary Rapture-only installation, but did not first make the two temporary registry key name changes in the link I mentioned, Rapture would not have installed (i.e. if it also didn't install with your original installation -- some people did get it to install with the original installation, but they obviously had different Dimension Pro status than those of us for whom it didn't work).  Bottom line seems to be the *only* way to get it to install prior to Cakewalk's supplying a fixed installer is to do the temporary registry tweaks (i.e. temporarily making it look like Dimension Pro isn't installed, and probably breaking Dimension Pro in the process), install Rapture only, then set the registry tweaks you made back to the way they were (i.e. so Dimension Pro will work again).

Rick is definitely a very clever person, along with several other forumites, as they have found a temporary workaround to getting this installed.

My lack of a response yesterday is only due to it being a Sunday... but I'm still working on this for you folks. If you're willing to follow the proposed solutions, you can work-around the issue... but I personally feel this shouldn't be a requirement for you folks.
I'll follow up again for you all a bit later today.
