Yes I am running as administrator.

My soundcard buffer settings changed to 2048 somehow. I switched it back to 64 and Sonar is working. IDK how that happened, but I'm going to save the project and keep a close eye on it. 10 is making me nervous.

I recall setting the buffer once when I was installing everything. I was starting with a new machine than only had Win10 installed though.

I'm going to make sure I have all set the same. It looks like a fixable problem...so that's good.

Did you install anything today after Sonar was working?

Sounds like something messed it up if WAS working and
now is not...

Nope. This has happened twice now with Windows 10. I believe it's a problem with the Presonus. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it's Sonar and I don't believe it's Windows 10.
I'm rolling back to Windows 7 as I type. I think I'll need another soundcard if I want to make the switch to 10. I'll probably stay with my current version of Sonar too, unless they continue to support 7 for awhile. My Presonus 44VSL has been discontinued. The newest driver (which is supposed to be Windows 10 compatible) came out in July of 2014.
I'll have to think about my next move. There will always be new stuff coming out. I may wait and try to get something good. I'm interested in the Harrison Control Surface and what it may be able to do.

Thanks! A clever idea, but odd to have made that behavior the default.

Oh well, after all you don't own the operating system, it belongs to Microsoft.

Exactly what I was talking about when I said the update reset some things that I turned of previously. This was one of those things. Windows feedback was another. They're a persistent bunch those folks at MS.

Well it did it to me to. Stopped me from procrastinating further but it was a bit rude to say the least.

All the hardware, Quad Capture, A800 Pro and AKAI LPK25 seems to be working fine. As is the old Roland XP10 that serves as a second keyboard via the Quad captures MIDI port.

I tried a few recent projects, only issue so far relates to the e Licenser dongle for my XILS4 VSTi That need attention when I have a moment.

I don’t like the way it’s changed several default applications. I get the horrible Windows PDF reader instead of acrobat for example, so I think there will be a bit of changing things needed.

Of course Classic Shell was uninstalled but I probably don't need it any more.
