title explains itself. Im trying to find a good vocoder software for a decent price. the $200 for vocalizer isn't bad. Ive had trouble finding an article or youtube video of them in comparison. Vocodex seems good but im wondering if Vocalizer is worth the extra $100 for perhaps better quality vocoding? If anyone knows other vocoders in same price range let me know as well.

Well, Image line lets you demo theirs, as does Melda... so that's a place to start...

Thanx guys, after looking at different products all night I went with SoniVox vocalizer, ill give some feedback in few hrs most likely on how im liking it. Ill most likely end up purchasing Melda as well as Vocodex anyways soon enough, i generally have multiples of same type effects. Im like a collector of VSTs lol.

Did you get Vocalizer or Vocalizer Pro?

I got Vocalizer Pro, so far i love it. Haven't really had a practical use for it as of yet, but iv been experimenting alot with it and see a lot of potential for it in a few projects i have lined up for mixing and maybe even some older projects that need a little spice. I feel like it replicates the vocals very well. I usually turn off all the effects for it during live use which helps even more making the voice crisper. Past day or so mostly just been playing with it and learning it.

I haven't made myself upgrade to Pro yet. But I had a lot of fun creating a track using Vocalizer a while back. It really shows what the program is capable of. Check it out if you're interested. It's called What You Want at my Soundcloud page...in my sig.
