I can't find my old pentagon dll and have platinum .   Can Z3ta+ whatever be used as a vocoder effect the way pentagon could? if not, can we download pentagon somewhere?

The last version of SONAR to bundle Pentagon was X3. It can be installed by running an advanced install of that version of SONAR or older. There is a Z3ta+ Classic FX plug-in included with SONAR but it does not have a vocoder function.

So does anyone have Z3ta+2 vocoder tips?  Because it can be used as an audio effect, but I haven't taken the trouble to find out if it works.  I'd like to know.

I believe that using it as an effect only lets you use its bank of effects (the second page) on a track.
You can't use it to synthesize something out of what's in your audio track.

EDIT :  I stand corrected.

Z3ta+2 cannot be used as an audio effect. Z3ta+2 only ships as a synth. The original z3ta+, now bundled with SONAR, does include both a synth and an FX plug-in. The FX plug-in is just that an effect, it is not a vocoder. There are some lengthy threads about vocoder solutions on the forum like this one http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3024127
