Renaxxance 1.3 update coming

Just got an email indicating that an update is coming. And I quote:

"Version 1.3 adds 2 instruments- "Ukemandolele", and "Ukemandolele Chords". It also fixes a bug in the script where the note name indicator that appears next to the fretboard interferes with the function of the 6th string slider. "

And....

" So, what's a Ukemandolele? Well, we noticed that chords played high on neck in Renaxxance sounded vaguely mandolin-ish, or ukulele-esque. So, we made a set of chords voiced high and limited to 4 strings. Then we remembered that we had included a mandolin impulse response in Renaxxance, so we applied it in Kontakt's Convolution effect. The result sounds very cool, no matter what you call it! Especially when playing chords."

It's essentially a virtual capo plus a mandolin IR. With the IR turned off, it's the same as transposing up an octave. Play short chords to fake a ukulele, which is reasonably convincing in a mix but not so much in solo. Still, a pretty nifty add-on considering it's free.

Renaxxance is currently my favorite virtual instrument. I posted a song in the Songs forum featuring it, although that example doesn't include the new ukemandolele instrument, which I didn't have yet at the time I put together the tune.

Just got the download link in the anticipated email. Then downloaded; will play with it later.

Even if it is just good for mixed parts like you suspect Bitflipper, the tone quality of the overall instrument is so rich and realistic that I will find a place for it somewhere. Nice update, and Free.

BTW, that is a nice use of it Bit in your cover. Well done.
