FWIW, I was rather surprised when my WUP expired to see that they were asking for over $200 to renew it.

@Rain, most people forget to chose 'Use one one machine only,' that should drop your price down considerably.

I purchased WUP for Mercury last October & it was $205.00 total plus they extended it. I'm good until June 2015.

BTW the cap is lower than stated, plus don't forget you can get lower prices at WavesUniverse.

Hadn't checked in a while, but my WUP was at $355!!!
After checking "Use One Machine Only" here's the result for a single year of coverage.

That's for 3 little bundles and 5 plug-ins. Thanks but no thanks Waves.

Granted, the WUP for a bunch of those product has been expired for a year or so, and according to Waves, you need to upgrade within a month for the $240 cap to be effective.

Nevertheless, this only goes to show that being supposedly able to renew at anytime means that you'll have to give Waves some big money. For all matter, you are severely penalized if you don't send them 240 big ones every year. Ridiculous.

I hadn't realized that. They can forget me.

I'm looking at your pic & I assume you did click the next button to get the total price figure?
Still doesn't sound correct but whatever, I never buy full retail through Waves anyway.

Here's another Waves victim reporting in just this morning: http://forum.cakewalk.com/vst-plugin-failed-to-load-80070057-on-x3e-project-load-m3022195.aspx

It's another case of the shell not supporting multiple versions. In this case, it's a conflict between VST2 and VST3 plugins. No other vendor has such a restriction.

The price is in red next to "Waves update plan price". It starts at 0 and goes up as you check the products you want to have covered.

My mistake above, though - it is effectively capped at $240, no matter how much you wait as I've just seen by checking each product one at a time.

As a matter of fact, I hit $240 with only 3 bundles and 2 individual plug-ins covered.

At 69 bucks, I would buy it just for RVox.
I could talk about how I have no problem with WUP but really it boils down to that.

Those other ones are pretty good too, if not the best in their class. I like all of them and use them on occasion.
