I'm having the same problem with the VST version and have tried the translate option. It made no difference for me, it'll go to the correct patch but always in bank A. If I check the event viewer it shows the correct change but z3ta just doesn't perform it, unless it's in bank A.

Excuse the double post but I've just been and had a play with a few options to try and solve this and I have made it work, for me at any rate.

Assuming you are using the "bank/patch change" command from the "Insert" menu, change the "Bank Select Method" from "Normal" to "Controller 0" and hey presto bank and patch changes. Whether this is because of the way my MIDI set up works I have no idea, but it's definitely started working for me. Hope it does for you to..

Perhaps it's the CC's from your instrument. I had a similar episode with a Roland GW-7 changing banks and patches everytime I pushed any button on the GW. Most noticeable was the backing track button. I'm not sure which controller instrument you are using and what Z3TA+'s patch or bank change codes are but your instrument may be telling Z3TA+ to do something the instrument was programmed to tell another peice of equipment to do. The standardized Midi codes seem to be a bit more variable per manufactorer than they should be.

This occurs with no midi controller connected.

I see, what midi controller would you recomend for Z3TA+ or any of the soft synths for that matter. I would have thought that a workstation keyboard would have enough controller capabilities. What is the difference between a keyboard midi controller and a "controller"?
