Four people can reproduce it.

It seems to be okay here, but I'm sure I've noticed it in the past.

jb101 this isn't a numbers game, we are trying to find out what causes this. If there is a difference of opinion clearly we are being given the wrong steps or there is something weird going on with a particular system.

I'll give you my steps as nobody is giving me theirs, perhaps just ONE person who is experiencing this issue, could follow the steps:

X3D - Not something you could reproduce in the past!

**** A brand new project *** - Not an old project!!!!

Create soft synth
Record MIDI
Observe Undo Recording and it undo

RESULT

As expected.

Redo recording
Drag MIDI clip
Observe Undo Drag Move and undo
Observe Undo Recording and undo.

RESULT

As expected.

NOTE - History is sync every step of the way.

Your turn, remember a brand new project.

Thankyou

UPDATE

Looking at this thread again I only see one person who has stated they actually have this problem with X3D.
So if you have this problem here are my steps please follow. Thanks.

Ok, I will try to reproduce this when I get a chance, but it will not likely be for a few days.  I do this as a hobby and my time is spent before Sunday.

This will consistently reproduce the issue for me in X3d:

Steps:
- Create a project with a single audio track containing a short clip.
- Save, close and re-open it to clear the edit history.
- Insert a second audio track and leave focus there.
- Select the clip in the first track.
- Hold Ctrl and hit C, V to copy-paste the clip to the second track.
- Hit Delete to delete the original clip.
- Right-click the first track, and choose Delete Track.
- Open the Edit menu, and note what action is shown next to Undo
- Select History, and note where that action is in the list.

Expected Results:
- The Edit menu will show "Undo Delete Track" corresponding to the most recent action shown in History.

Actual Results:
- The Edit menu shows "Undo Insert Audio Track", which is the fourth action down in History, and the first action taken after opening the project.
- Note, incidentally, that the most recent action is shown as "De&lete Track" with an ampersand in the action description.

Looks like I can reproduce!

Would you mind/would it be possible to log your test case and giving me an issue number Dave?
(might as well give them a link to this thread).

Thanks.....

Phonic would you find logging an issue with Cakewalk? Otherwise it won't get fixed :)
https://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx

Please paste steps from #14 and point them to this post.
Could you post the issue number here?

Thanks

Alex
