Just recently back on the forum as have an issue with V-Vocal that seems to extend past the one here.
Recently did the Sonar Producer x3d upgrade and first time using V Vocal to do a bit to a track. Didt use Shift V or anything.
Highlighted the track > region FX> V Vocal
V Vocal opens and starts to process and just near the end, closes Sonar down all together!!!!
Tried 6 times on both track lanes and straight track - same situation except for once when a very very small piced of audio opened and let me process (next time tried again didnt) - - - ??????
So any answers anyone????
Would be nice to be able to keep using V Vocal while getting to real grips with Melodyne (and have upgraded there) and have the option as well (just like the way it does some stuff).

Look forward to hearing from anyone.

Cheers
Ian

Hi Ian...

Funny, but I'm in a somewhat similar situation... I've heard over and again how much better Melodyne is... Maybe it's better with the full editor, but it seems to me that the toolset and range limits of Melodyne (our version) are much mire limited... Some tools it doesn't seem to have, or I cat find them (draw tool) and some such as the tool to tighten drift/vibrato is far mire limited... More issues but I don't think necessary to list them here... So I continue to use V-Vocal and still get excellent results most of the time...

Maybe some day I'll be able to afford the full Melodyne Editor version and have some for ant control too, but it's definitely not in the near future for me...

At least knowing that the shortcut is no longer available, I will simply add it to the many tools that slow my work in X123.... ;-)

Hi Keni
I actually upgraded Melodyne - so potential is there  - but still getting my head around the detail and the intricacies that have already in place with V-Vocal - - - still like it

Hi Pav...

I truly wish I could afford the Melodyne upgrade, but it's not in the cards for me at the moment...

I'm also a bit skeptical about some issues with it. I know the upgrade gives the polyphonic editing ability and I was told that for ant control is there too... But in the version given us with X3, it has a "spread" control, but it has far less range than the VV equivalent tool does... I wonder if that is any different in Melodyne Editor? That's a tool that I use quite a bit and the one we currently have doesn't seem to allow me enough range to solve some corrections....

Luckily, I have very few issues with VV and continue to use it most of the time... I like the appearance of MeloD, but I'm still finding VV most of the time...

We'll see if that changes.....

Thanks...
Keni
