Yeah... I think it's fairly safe to say it's universal (or close enough).   I mean, I tend to see very few of the issues most run into, consistently.   But I am seeing the Custom module over on the right even though I keep it near the middle.   No big deal, really, but it's there.  Here's hoping we see something timely like the fix they made for monthly installments.

Hi Steve...

It appears we all have this problem... I think some people are simply accepting it...?

For me its a PITA as I must look around to find things every time... I'm far to used to my own setup even high it has changed a bit with SPlat... My modules have been in basically the same locations since X1...

I hope they fix this one quickly.... Waiting another month for it will be painful...

I'd be curious why some wouldn't experience this.

I'm fairly sure everyone does. To my knowledge no one has posted that they don't.

We have one 'positive' confirmation HERE Dave.

Hmmm... yes, I missed that. But then John also wrote: "Yes, it appears to be the case. The OP hit on a bug." in post #33 of this thread. John's not inclined to acknowledge bugs that he can't reproduce himself. But maybe he's just acknowledging that it's "near universal".

I agree, John is certainly one of the most reliable and trustworthy forum users when it comes to identifying and then notifying others about any problems in SONAR.

I see the confusion. I'm sorry to have contributed to it. What I was referring to in the referenced post was the resetting of the Control Bar after install of Braintree. This reset would put any custom changes one had made to it  back to the default and wiped out any custom buttons on the custom control module. What that means is it would ignore all custom configurations and revert it back to the default state.

This is not the same as the placing of the custom control module at the far right which this thread is about.

I hope this clears up the confusion.

I agree that this is not really minor. It really slows down the workflow.

No, wait, false alarm - John had mistakenly started up Pro Audio 9 instead.

Just out of interest, do we know yet if this is a universal problem with Cambridge or is it just affecting some users?

Hi Steve, I just had a quick test and on my laptop, the order presists if you do not exit Sonar completely. Closing and opening the project brings the order back as it was when the file was closed.

Exiting Sonar completely and relaunching causes the Custom Module to go back to the right

It is minor. Nor do I see how work flow is slowed down.

If you normally keep the custom buttons in the center, workflow is slowed by having to move the mouse further out and back to click a button - I'm smiling pretty big as I type this.  As I said earlier, in TGSoT, this one isn't big.

It did, however, slap me in the face the first time I started Cambridge

That is the way I see it. It should be fixed, no question but I fail to see it as show stopping or a true work flow slow down. From what I understand CW is aware of it and the first step toward a fix is awareness.
