My sincerest condolences, bats....and prayers your way. I lost my mom in 2007. Being an only child...well, you can only imagine the impact it had on me. Hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my life and something my dad and I still struggle with today. Time does heal, but you never totally move on from something like this. It's like you're forced to because you don't have a choice other than to live in depression. Your mom wouldn't want that...so try to look at the positives. My mom told me before she died "don't be sad for me, be happy that I'm not living in this sick body struggling to enjoy my life." If your mom was sick, think of it like that. If she was just suddenly taken from you, I have no words to offer other than some things just can't be explained. :( Hang in there brother...and feel free to send me a pm if you need to talk, share stories or just need a brother to vent to.

Coming up on 20 years now since my mom died, and to this day there is still a hole in my life that has never been filled and never will be.
The first year was the hardest. Not saying this will work for everybody, but just a suggestion: I survived it by turning my grief into music. It wasn't a planned therapy, just an instinctive reaction. I had no idea that it would turn out to be so therapeutic, but it did.
 All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff
