I dunno ... sounds pretty good to me. Perhaps a bit too much low end? Could just be me. Nice work on the guitar, I like the emotive lines. It does seem to me like everything in the mix is a little too up front, maybe a tad overcompressed? This is a nice laid back tune, let it breath man, let it breathe :) Well done.

I think Melodyne calls it 'throat' or something like that. It may sound cool. Sorry ... I had a wee nip of Vodka (ok, 2/3 of a bottle, but hey, I was long overdue, and at 6'2" and *mumble mumble* pounds, it takes a lot to put me down.) and I can't remember things so well at the moment.

Hey Tim! I love the song, love the mix, the production, but I don't care for the vox.
this would be a great song to get somebody with a more baritone / bass voice to sing (but leave your tenor echos in there).

I have to say that Ireally kinda like it. I would bring the deep vox parts up a little - almost seems like they're hiding a little, as if you're not sure yourself, but the rest is very laid back groovy and those harmonies are to die for. Jealous. :(

This is sexy and cool. I agree with other comments that another vocalist might help but personally, I really like your vocal and feeling. It's bass heavy in my cans. I really like the song. Nice.

I like it. Reminds me of some old stuff. I agree about the voice... sorry... then again, not a big Tom Waits fan, esp. Tom Waits Does Sexy R&B Number. Actually, I think you sound a bit like Robby Robertson... anyway, a top notch male R&B vocal would be great here, IMO... Nice vibe and guitar licks though.
My only major criticism is in the chorus, i the second phrase "I don't want the pain", the melody sounds like it's trying to resolve to a chord that isn't there... I think the melody/chord combo would be stronger on that second line if the melody were C Bb C Bb G instead of C Bb Bb Ab Bb, or whatever it is... the G would be the 3rd of that Eb... anyway, good job!

I really like the tune and love the guitar tone. I do like how you delivered the vocals on this. 2nd listen, I wouldn't change it. Carry on with this style or abort? I don't know are you trying to get rid of your girlfriend? If so..good plan. Great sounding tune, performances and production.

Rule 1 - Never, ever expect to understand what a woman means by her words. When she says "it sucks", what she probably means is that she had a hard day at work, some other woman was wearing the same clothes as her and she was stuck in traffic trying to get home! And you expect compliments after that?! So don't worry. Just think of all the other benefits of your girlfriend that mean you can live with her occasional bouts of being a typical ******* woman. We here love it. What else matters?!
