timidi that bass hook is pretty cool, eh? can't take credit for that programmed bass part, but i did write it. crispy did a great job of dialing in the backing track, based on my demo. finding the right frequencies to come across on almost all platforms required quite a bit of work, seeing as to how i had to work off of an MP3 file of the entire backing track. but i never imagined anyone listening on laptop speakers, every laptop i've every heard, just sounded like a toy. i can't imagine any bass frequencies coming across at all, so i guess i had enough high end energy in the bass track for it to work. that's a very interesting piece of knowledge, thanks for mentioning that... and thanks for listening and commenting!

purple thanks so much terry, i appreciate the comments. dragonlips janes addiction that's funny, i've heard that from several other people, and on a couple of other songs off the album. i have never knowingly had a direct influence from 'janes', even tho i really dig that band. always did. shameless noodling, yes..... that's what i'm best at!! LOL mtgonzalez thanks for checking it out. glad you like it! gonna have to play with more arrangements like this one, i guess..... time to break out the keyboard and some funky samples!! :-)

hello batsbrew, Like all the previous accolades, really well done! I like it very much as it is... but I keep thinking it could be taken a step further.... So, here is the food for thought, as I've listened to it several times.... I think an evolution to it's current structure would be a big prog rock-like soaring break/bridge at about 2:15 and reallly let it soar, kick it up into high gear with a big vocal hook and then reel it back in and then ride it out into the sunset as you have it now. Just a thought. Not a criticism, just a thought. If this is too much information for you, then please ignore. All the best!

dkbender hey, thanks for the ideas. i dig where you're coming from, thinking it thru and all.. but this is a finished song, off of a finished album, available now at my links below! heheh i don't think i'm going to continue on this one, i've pulled it out of the oven, and it's now on the window sill, cooling off, waiting to be eaten. it's done. fork. etc.....

C'est la vie! I was worth a shot. Say, you mentioned earlier you liked Revolver.... I recently completed a pretty authentic cover of And Your Bird Can Sing just a little bit below your post, if you didn't catch it already. It was a barrel of fun to recreate! Also did She Said, She Said & Doctor Robert too. Great fun!

Nice job. I'm thinking this would be in the top 5 easily of the tunes I have heard from you. Great clarity and depth in the production, and nice tone as always. So many things seem to be going on at once. At first I thought it was a Pinko Floyd cover...... but nahhhhh ..... I'm glad it's not..... this is so much better than a cover.

We were at the Grand Canyon summer before last on the 4th of July. We were in the bar/coffe house and there was a song on the radio. I kept telling my wife that I was pretty darned sure it was Rob (Batsbrew). When it was over they said Jane's Addiction. I couldn't remember that name until now. Rob, are you Jane? LOL! Of course not, you're better! :-)
