jamesyoyo Update time: I have organ, drums, and harp added to the guitar. Still waiting for vocal, bass and flugelhorn. Though, I have to say at this point, I am somewhat disappointed. The parts I got are all fine, mind you, but they are all just playing along with the guitar. No counterpoint, no theme, no melody, no adventurousness, no weirdness, no sense of having fun just noodling around with it. I have heard enough of you guys to probably expect a little more. Hey James, whip cracked like a true producer there. As you know, I cranked out my organ part (Fnarr) the night before some surgery last week and the creative muse has dissappeared since then as I feared. However I am now functional once more and will carry on where I had to leave off last week.

I fiddled and fiddled on keyboards and came up blank. Sorry MM100 (aka CA$H DAWG $100) but I too came up with a bass part (done on bass guitar). Please don't let that discourage you. Your part will probably be better than mine. I'm sending mine off to factory yoyo in about 10 minutes.

All joking aside, shouldn't I wait until Phil's done before I add anything crazy, so I know when to blow and when to lay low? It is my policy to follow the producers instructions and the project is not done until he or she says it is, so just to let you know my plans for this. 1) locate mojo 2) finish the harp accompaniment with different variations for the 2 main parts 3) Friday ordering a diatonic set for sure 4) When Phil's done, nag him for a listen so I can try to set up some call and response James if I need to alter any of those plans let me know. Sorry to hear about the surgery Garry, great you're feeling better and back to doing what you love.

I believe it was on the Weather Channel that they were saying that the storm had its roots in California, and while they couldn't be positive, Thousand Oaks was definitely suspected.

Cool Phil looking forward to hearing it. Great to hear you'll be picking up some parts Herb. update I ordered the case of the blues diatonic set last night. I was practicing with Spockpit last night and could pull it all off with the set I have now, but if I have the time, the new set should be here next week.

Just wanted to say thanks for you guys joining in. I hope many others do so. The acoustic is the only guitar part I'll be submitting so all you guitarist do what you feel...even an acoustic part if ya want. I did mail Jeff , my recording partner, and asked him to send James something if he wanted to. I know he'll try. I'm very excited to hear what we did with this and with hopes that everybody has a fun time with it. Michael

Looks like this is fizzling out. I got only one track of vocals (thanks, Phil), no electric guitar, no re-dos of anything other than Grant's Harp. Nice idea, anyway.
