Excellent tunage! I like the bass where it is also. I'm not even fussed about the sound of it. I prefer a smoother tone myself but it fits the tune so have at it! Excellent guitarwork, vocals, and well, everything sounds great!!!

wookie thanks for kind words.... i worked this mix a half dozen times... would walk away from it for a day or two, come back, tweak, let it sit.... for probably two weeks. it's funny how walking away and coming back to a mix, allows you to 'clear the mind'..... and hear things a bit different than last time. it also seems to help with 'editing' stuff OUT, that doesn't really help. sometimes, when i'm flying with tracking ( i track really quick ) i put more in than i know i'll need, intending to edit it out later..... and then i fall in love with the parts, and don't want to let it go! LOL but i have to...... cuz it's just clutter. it's easy for me to clutter. that's my biggest job, boiling stuff down

Mmm, nice one Bats. Not easy to get an original sounding song in the blues genre, but you did it in style. Zappa meets ZZ Top...excellent.

guitarpima thanks for listening! the bass.. i made it a bit more aggressive sounding for this one. usually, i go for a rounder tone.... but i thought this one needed some growl.

jamesG thanks for the comments! i'm very aware of genres, and trying NOT to ever easily fall into cliches, that riff for this song, started out as a completely different speed and vibe, i ended up applying the 'shuffle' kind of groove to something that was much more straight ahead slow rock to start with

You know I loves these Batsblues. It is about a 30 minute drive to the VA and I listened to this over and over there and back. I was trying to figure how you played that guitar. JUST KIDDING!

hey bob! i missed these last comments, sorry.... thought it was toast! LOL thanks for listening and commenting...... i'll tell you, the last solo was really fun, to just pull out all the stops. that wah i've got (a Budda Wah) is my favorite wah to date (i've had many) and it's got enough cut for recording, to really stick out..... and at the end, i just let it go..... i was pushing the boogie hard, loud, with a good bit of gain, AND a overdrive pedal, AND a clean boost!! LOL that's why it was screaming at the end......

warren- thanks man, i know you like this one..... this song started out with a way different vibe, and the chord on the main riff was a e min add 9..... instead of the disco chord. LOL

BAYOUBILL i like that moniker... i was born in Louisiana, and used to live in new orleans, so i kind of dig the bayou vibe! LOL thanks for groovin' on my tune. clean thanks man. that's really kind of you to say those things... not true, of course, but very kind.
