Best Firewire card for Tascam FW-1884

I've finally taken the plunge and ordered the FW-1884.
I've downloaded all the latest firmware, the sonar driver, and the Tascam driver.
I have some questions:

1. Which Firewire card?
I bought the ADS PCI card, works flawlessly!
Bear in mind I have the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum Mobo. PCI slots not PCI-e

2. WDM drivers or ASIO?

3. Will the FW co-habitat with my Echo Gina24 (WDM drivers there)?

I'm currently in the middle of a clean install of Win XP Pro, for the second time this
weekend; preparing for Sonar 7PE and the Tascam to arrive about mid-week.

Thanks to all in advance,

    1. I'm using an Adaptec firewire card, and the most important thing is to have the Texas Instrument chipset.

    2. Runs fine on either, but I use WDM so I can run several music programs at the same time. Also, I sometimes have timing problems when using ASIO.

    3. Don't know this card, but it should be fine, and you would want to use WDM drivers if using both.

    riojazz,
I had noticed that the TI Chipset was the one to use. Now FW400 or 800 does it matter?
    Thanks

I'm sure 400. This unit is four years old or so, long before FW800.

Note, there is a Microsoft patch for XP SP2, since SP2 slows down firewire devices to 100 and the patch restores it to 400.
