Tascam FW-1884 -- Faders Controlling Mix Busses

I'm running XP SP2 with S 7.0.2, using a Tascam FW-1884. The drivers are v. 1.60 and the Sonar dll is v. 1.22.

I've seen posts indicating that the 1884 has a hidden function, accessed by SET + BANK LEFT, which switches the faders to controlling the mix busses.

I've tried this combination, but it changes nothing on my 1884 -- they continue to operate the track faders.

I have never tried this feature using any other driver or dll (I'm very new to the 1884, but not to Sonar).

Is there any magic combination, or any setting in Sonar that I need to adjust to enable this functionality?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Steve,

SET + BANK> (right) put the FW1884 and any FE8’ s into bus control mode.
This will be indicated by a slow blinking of the Bank LED’s.

SET + <BANK (left) return the devices to normal track mode.

    Cheers,
