question for Tascam FW-1884 users

I had a major computer crash and have to reload EVERYTHING

I cannot remember what the latest working versions are for the 1884 audio driver, and the Sonar control surface driver.

Can someone chime in and help a guy out.

Thanks in advance

Yes, but the answer depends on what you are running under.

For XP SP3, use driver 1.50 and Sonar Control Surface beta 1.22. I recommend you do NOT use 1.60.

    For Vista 32, use 1.60 and 1.22.

For Vista 64 with 2 GB or less, I don't know. Probably 1.60 and 1.22.

For Vista or Windows 7 64 bit that has more than 2 GB of RAM, use the brand new 1.70 driver just released. This release fixes the noise problem for those with more RAM. We don't know about the Sonar driver, though, under 64 bits. There is another post asking about that.

    ps sorry about the crash

I have the beta 1.22 driver. Tascam will not post it on their website.

PM me with your email address, and I'll email it to you.
