Loop Explorer + Beatscape...Imagine the possibilities!
I love playing with loops in Loop Explorer!...there I said it! (...I'm feeling better already)

Loop Explorer is really fun to use to play around with various loop combinations...but it currently has one MAJOR caveat. The loops being auditioned must all reside within the same folder. If you try to change folders the loops stop playing...
I've also played around with Beatscape and really had high hopes for it. However, currently its file management makes it almost painful to use for any amount of time.
A while back I discovered a cool 'trick', you can actually drag loops from Loop Explorer's window and drop them onto pads in Beatscape.
This discovery got me to thinking...
Wouldn't it be really cool if both Loop Explorer and Beatscape were combined into one product/plugin?! Then you could not only audition various loop combinations but actually 'save' them for later recall without needing to create an entire .CWP file just to save loop combinations. This could be a HUGE time saver when working with clients, instead of loading up separate .CWP files, you could just load up 'loop groups' from within one project. It would basically be like having a mini-MPC/Stylus/Ableton Live inside of Sonar.
Ideally, this mashup plugin would support ALL of the various loop formats (Acid,WAV,REX) and also be smart enough to automatically 'Groove Loop' standard wave files (ala Sony Acid) . It should allow you to quickly audition a loop at its natural tempo/pitch as well manually override the number of detected beats. It should also allow you to audition loops being browsed (in context with the other loops) without needing to load them onto a pad first (...ala Stylus)
I know I'm not asking for too much because Sonar basically supports all of these features right now, currently they're just spread across multiple plugins/utilities
Its probably too late to get this into the next release of Sonar, but I would actually rather they spent an entire year getting it right. I have a feeling that if they do, new users would flock to Sonar 10 in droves.
..Any thoughts..?
