Help with a personal issue
I think I could be suffering from anatidaephobia. Yep, the epic space cowboy, crippled by this in the prime of his life. Any suggestions for how to combat this debilitating disease? If you or any of your kin have suffered from anatidaephobia and have licked it, please let me know. And please, do not refer me to some quack.
Some people call me Maurice SPLAT Pro lifetime, ADK 6 core 3.6Ghz with 32 GB RAM, SSD 1TB system drive, 3 3TB regular drives for samples, recordings and misc. Behringer X Touch, UAD Apollo Quad. 2 UAD2 Quads PCI (i think - inside the box whatever that is), Console 1. More guitars (40??) and synths (hard and soft) than talent. Zendrum!!!

It's an increasingly alarming condition, they are even running a TV campaign about it over here, it seems that those affected first show signs of their affliction by refusing to drink plain water.... I fear an epidemic is on the horizon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rl9CQuAWhLM

I used to be paranoid--then I found out they ARE out to get me! Perhaps a duck IS watching you. Do you suspect Donald or Daffy?

It seems the symptoms are the same as smoking grass. Are there signs of ducks in the field?

And please, do not refer me to some quack. I can always tell a good doctor apart from a quack. It seems whenever I've been treated by a quack they always seem to display a disproportionately sized bill.

Spacey I should worry about a Gecko watching me if that were the issue. I wonder how many people suffer from Anatidaephobia?

Maybe they shouldn't advertise Aflac next to this particular public service announcement.

If you or any of your kin have suffered from anatidaephobia and have licked it, please let me know. And please, do not refer me to some quack. I too suffered from anatidaephobia. The secret it to get some ducks so that you know for certain that they are, indeed, watching you...and then embrace that fear and thereby conquer it. I once had four Pekins that I raised from mere ducklings to large, white beauties. Ducks are not to be feared. They have been described as the 'dogs of the bird world'. Very interesting to watch and raise. Ducks actually have personalities. Alas, two ran away from me to the city. Well, actually swam away. Once seduced by the ease (and constant hand-outs) of their new-found urban existance, no pleading (or attempts at intervention involving a large fishing net) could bring them back into the fold. They broke my heart, but I took comfort in the remaining brothers and in time got on with my life. This story is almost literally true.

Whenever I find that I am suffering from this malady, I go to a chinese restaurant here In Vegas ( Sam Woo Barbecue) and order a whole roasted Duck to go. Just the sight of those roasted ducks hanging in the meat case is enough to quell all my fears. And when they chop it up for me, problem over, pass the plum sauce.

True story: My wife - long before I knew her, when she was a pre-teen, was feeding bread crumbs to geese at a park. she was holding the pieces out in front of her with one hand and had the rest of the bread in her other hand tucked behind her back. little did she know that one of the smarter ones had circled around her and snuck up behind her. it bit her hand while trying to get to the bread and of course scared the bejeebers out of her! Ducks and geese are smart. they are watching us.

Geese are actually very aggressive birds, and seem to be utterly without fear of humans.

I have a similar condition with added low self-esteem, in as much as I think there are ducks around, but they're ignoring me and watching someone else.
