Well, from what I read, you might not need to download all 12 GB. Some of the stuff you might already have on your machine.

With all the content, I'm not surprised.

Well I hope I have the necessary content to make it manageable! I've only just upgraded to 8.5 due to the offer and that download was painful and it's nothing like that size.

I hope my internet will be okay. It can be very changable in its capabilities - the first time I tried the 8.5 upgrade download it was very slow and it said it was finished after around 50% of the data was received! The next time I tried it was okay.
I have all of the sound library stuff already so if Sonar is a (split) 5 GB things might go okay.
    Fingers crossed

Oh man.  The PT9 download was 4 gigs and that took me an entire day to download.  So I guess that means X1 is 3 times better than PT, right?

Early December is probably an expensive time to have things put in boxes. The *box* people are probably working hard to fulfill orders placed last spring and scheduled for the seasonal swell.

Brandon said something about free shipping.

Ok, so I've done the vids, I want with all my heart and it's going to be the download version (I think I can live without the 64 page quick start)

So do I just wake up wednesday and order, and get the SN/download right away (and yes I know the servers will be a bit busy)

    Hi all,

Im hoping Cakewalk plays it smart with this downloading session. I'd like to see Critical files in 1 file "Sonar X1 Install basically" with all data types as a separate  downloads (IE DP, audio clips etc) as well as the manual separate.  This will at least ensure us Sonar users can get the new version up and running, setup and ready to go while we DL the data.

Looking forward to the 8TH :D

Yes. I'm still debating whether I put on fresh undies before I start the DL or after. What do you say?

Under normal circumstances I would not have any issues with 12mb using either my Dubai or UK ISPs. In a lot of cases however its the servers at the other end that get overloaded. Native Instruments have just had a big promotion and they got completly overloaded, it was a real mess.
