not to burst the bubble but last I heard was that it will be shipping Sept. 28. This way it has the week end to amble about the ups center, get lost once or twice and then be delivered some time mid October...

The presale ends on Wednesday the 19th, not Thursday... so maybe its going to be released on Thursday.

That would make sense at it gives the Pre Sale buyers their chance to use their 24hrs advance access to download and still give anyone else a day before the weekend to really hit Cakewalk's servers.
I wonder if they are still using Amazon for their server space/download distribution?

This is one of the things about rumors.... It could be any time.
However, Pre-Sale means just what it says - before the availability of the product.
From a company standpoint it would not be good to stop a promotional offer of "Pre-sale" before the product is released. This would tick off customers who still "Pre-purchase" but are cut out of the promotion even though they are "Pre-purchasers"
I don't *think* CW would do that...
Those involved in the presale should probably be cheking their inboxes thursday for the DL of Sonar X2... since they get it a day earlier than everyone else.

Now, all you procrastinators out there - get your orders in and get the free HD strings. No I am not a Cakewalk shill though I have been using Cakewalk since the 90's (was a beta tester in 1993). That said, back to those strings... Wow, they are the best I have used - by far! Dare I say better than my Kurzweil PC2x that I have running 24 bit digital direct through my RME Hammerfall card to an i5 Win 7 64 bit PC with 8Mb of Ram? Yes, they are that good! I am an old school hardware synth guy (still have my mimimoog) and I never thought I would be writing this and I don't want to start a flame war but... The combination of Cakewalk Sonar X1 Producer Expanded, Dimension Pro 1.5, 64 bit OS and software, this collection of great sampled string sets, an amazing RME sound card and I have now made it to Valhalla. >;=) All my music sounds better with Sonar X1 and this setup - these strings are over the top! Anyone else notice yet how amazing they are? I'll get over it I suppose (~g) Cheers - Davo
